Maintenance Engineer - Ballymena - Permanent

About the Role
- Salary: £40,000 - £47,000 per annum
- Full time - 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday - rotational shift pattern.

What you'll be doing in this role:
Maintenance Engineers play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production facilities. Working closely with colleagues across the business, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical, mechanical, and automated production equipment to minimise downtime and support operational performance.
The role offers a high level of autonomy and responsibility, with a focus on preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Duties include:
- Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with company policies and procedures.
- Carry out the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical production equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
- Complete preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
- Provide technical support across all departments.
- Ensure site infrastructure is maintained to a high standard.
- Implement solutions to improve machine reliability, efficiency, and quality standards.
- Utilise CMMS systems to support maintenance activities and drive cost improvements.
- Comply with food safety, quality, legal, and environmental requirements.
What you'll need for this role:
- Time-served Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineer.
- A minimum of 2 years' recent experience within an industrial engineering or high-volume production environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrable experience in fault finding and working with control panels.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
