Farm Maintenance Technician - Full Time | Kilrea Area
Riada are recruiting on behalf of a large-scale agricultural business operating a modern poultry production facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and proactive individual to join a well-established operation, playing a key role in maintaining equipment, facilities and the smooth day-to-day running of the site.

- £35,000 - 40,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday
- Day time hours

This is a varied, hands-on position that combines maintenance responsibilities with general farm support duties. The successful candidate will work closely with the farm management team to ensure buildings, machinery and site services remain safe, efficient and fully operational. Key responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across farm equipment, machinery and site facilities.
- Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs efficiently to minimise operational disruption.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults and basic electrical issues.
- Maintain and repair motors, pumps, conveyors, feeding systems, belts, chains and associated equipment.
- Monitor the condition of buildings, equipment and services, addressing maintenance issues as they arise.
- Assist with site improvement projects and general repair work.
- Support day-to-day farm operations when required.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with health and safety, biosecurity and operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop and work environment.
Criteria:
- Previous experience in maintenance, agriculture, engineering or a similar hands-on role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability.
- Experience working with machinery, equipment and general repairs.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- Practical, reliable and willing to support wider farm operations when required.
- Experience within an agricultural or poultry environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
