Service Engineer (Generators) – Northern Ireland
Riada Resourcing is proud to be partnering with a market-leading organisation within the power generation sector to recruit an experienced Service Engineer on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and respected business, working with industry-leading equipment and supporting customers throughout Northern Ireland.
As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing both mobile and static generator units, ensuring dependable power solutions for domestic and commercial clients. The role is ideally suited to an engineer who thrives on technical challenges, enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Details:
- Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOE)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Contract: Permanent
- Travel: Company van provided

- Location: Field‑based across Northern Ireland
Core Responsibilities:
- Service & Maintenance — Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of generator units, including diesel and gas-powered systems.
- Field Operations — Attend customer homes and business premises to carry out scheduled maintenance, inspections, and emergency callouts.
- Technical Documentation — Complete service reports, maintenance logs, and compliance paperwork accurately and on time.
- Customer Support — Communicate clearly with customers, explaining issues and solutions in a professional and approachable manner.
- Safety & Compliance — Ensure all work adheres to industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and health & safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration — Work closely with internal teams such as parts, logistics, and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar generator, mechanical, or electrical service role or an Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of engine systems, power generation equipment, and diagnostic tools.
- Communication Skills: Ability to interact confidently with customers, colleagues, and management at all levels.
- Problem‑Solving Ability: Capable of diagnosing and resolving technical issues independently and efficiently.
- Full UK Driving Licence: Essential for this field‑based role.
