Riada Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of a successful business operating within the construction sector. Due to continued expansion, an opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a busy finance team supporting a portfolio of ongoing projects.

This role offers excellent exposure to a wide range of finance activities, making it ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience, develop their technical skills and progress their accounting career within a supportive environment. Whether you're already working in accounts, studying towards a qualification, or ready to take the next step in your finance career, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

 You'll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including:
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Managing receipts, payments and account transactions
  • Supplier and customer account reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations and cash management activities
  • Assisting with month-end processes
  • Supporting payroll administration
  • Assisting with VAT returns and compliance requirements
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
  • Supporting reporting and management information preparation
  • Contributing to process improvements and systems development
What You'll Bring: 
  • Previous experience in an accounts, bookkeeping or finance-related role
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
