Data Input / Information Assistant - Ballymena - Full Time

About the role:
- £12.75 per hour
- Braid Valley Hospital Ballymena
- 37.5 hrs per week 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday (all office based)
- Immediate start until October 2026

What you'll be doing in this role:
- Process a range of information and undertake data entry for information received in a timely manner.
- Assist with the extraction, collation and presentation of information to meet the needs of the Information Team.
- Ensure timely distribution of documentation/ information to professional staff regarding clinics, results and records within and outside of the trust
Assist in the daily maintenance of the System
- Assist in the production of a range of routine and ad hoc reports using a range of software packages and take follow up action as appropriate
- Assist with the quality assurance of data on the System and follow up missing information and discrepancies as appropriate
- Assist in the liaison with appropriate health professionals on a range of matters
- Participate in training appropriate to the duties of the post
- Deal with incoming telephone calls and handle queries as appropriate to the post
- Provide advice and support to system users
- Provide administrative support to the Information & Records Team including general administrative/secretarial duties such as processing mail, maintaining a filing system, arranging meetings and diary management
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post to ensure the needs of the Information and Records Department are met.
What you'll need for this role:
- Applicants must possess 5 GCSEs, including English Language and Mathematics (Grade A-C) or equivalent

PLUS 1 years’ clerical / secretarial experience in an office environment to include:

Good communication skills

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to work on own initiative

Knowledge of the role of Information Assistant
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel
