Service Delivery Administrator - Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service - Cookstown

Join the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service in Cookstown as a part time Service Delivery Administrator and support the coordination and delivery of key administrative functions within a busy operational environment.
 
About the role:
  • £13.97 per hour
  • Part time - 18 hours per week (can work 2.5 days or 4 days, Friday is compulsory to work)
  • Up to 6 months duration, with possible extension

What you'll be doing in this role:
  • Administer internal systems, including staff training and development of user-focused documentation.
  • Manage complex diaries, coordinate meetings and events, and provide administrative support including minute taking and resource planning.
  • Maintain officer rotas, updating leave, sickness, and training, and escalating any impact on operational cover.
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative functions, ensuring accurate record-keeping across all systems.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and official documents in line with corporate standards.
  • Act as a central communication point, ensuring effective liaison and escalation where required.
  • Support process improvements, develop guidance materials, and deliver local training.
  • Assist with the coordination and development of reports, objectives, and performance metrics to meet organisational standards.
What you'll need for this role:
  • Possess a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. business administration, IT); and have at least one years’ experience of working in a demanding office environment, carrying out a range of business support tasks
  • OR possess at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, to include English and Maths, and have at least three years’ experience of working in a demanding office environment, carrying out a range of business support tasks.
  • OR have at least five years’ experience of working in a demanding office environment, carrying out a range of business support tasks.
  • Effective planning, organisation, prioritising skills and attention to detail;
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to provide timely and accurate information
  • The ability to work individually or as a team member
  • Ability to work under pressure of multiple deadlines Competent in the use of Microsoft applications.
  • Possess a current UK/EU driving licence or have access to a form of transport that will permit the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full.
