Finance Officer – Coleraine
This is a great opportunity to join a well-established community-focused organisation as a Finance Officer, supporting the effective financial management of a busy project environment. In this role, you’ll play a key part in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, supporting budgeting and reporting, and ensuring compliance with statutory and funding requirements.
About the role:
- £31,537 - £33,699 per annum
- Monday to Friday
- 35 hours per week
- Sector: Community and Voluntary

What you'll be doing in this role:
- Manage the day to day financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accurate records of all income and expenditure
- Maintain computerised and manual bookkeeping systems, including bank reconciliations, petty cash, sales invoicing and debtor management
- Monitor and analyse income across multiple funding streams, ensuring all funding is correctly recorded, lodged and reported
- Process supplier payments, maintain purchase approval systems and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts
- Support the Project Manager in preparing annual budgets and monitor performance against actual spend
- Prepare quarterly income and expenditure reports and investigate variances
- Maintain budget trackers to support financial control and decision making
What you'll need for this role:
- ATI or HND in Finance/Business/Accounts
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a finance role
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, budgeting and financial reporting
- Experience managing payroll and statutory submissions
- Ability to work with multiple funding streams and meet reporting deadlines
- Experience using Sage 50 is essential
- Experience within the community or voluntary sector would be an advantage
