Buyer - Ballymoney
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Ballymoney. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production by managing purchasing processes, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials across the business.
About this role:
- £36,000 per annum
- Monday to Thursday
- Permanent role
What you’ll be doing in this role:
- Manage purchasing administration including raising purchase orders and maintaining the Basware and MRP systems.
- Oversee open order books and ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor and update the site budget tracker.
- Attend control room meetings and contribute to purchasing discussions.
- Track and report on material shortages to support production needs.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
What you'll need for this role:
- Relevant experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Qualification (or currently studying) in Business Studies or a related discipline.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident problem-solving abilities and sound judgement.
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial information.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
