Facilities Technician - Permanent | Eglinton
Riada Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of a leading global manufacturing company for a Facilities Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a facilities maintenance professional to join a well-established organisation, supporting the maintenance and operation of site facilities and infrastructure while contributing to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.

- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 2:00pm

The Role:
Reporting to the Contractor & Facilities Manager, the Facilities Technician will support the maintenance, repair and efficient operation of all site facilities and auxiliary equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring building services remain operational, safe and compliant, while supporting site improvement projects and sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support planned preventative maintenance activities across site facilities and building services.
- Carry out inspections, fault finding and minor repairs to mechanical, plumbing and facilities systems.
- Schedule, monitor and close maintenance work orders through the site's maintenance management system.
- Liaise with and supervise contractors, ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standards.
- Support the management of cleaning and grounds maintenance activities.
- Maintain facilities stores, monitor stock levels and arrange ordering of spare parts and consumables.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of safe systems of work and training documentation.
- Support energy reduction, environmental and sustainability initiatives across the site.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance facility performance and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Provide support and cover for the Contractor & Facilities Manager when required.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience within a facilities maintenance, building services, manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Background in mechanical, plumbing, facilities or maintenance disciplines.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, contractors and external suppliers.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) would be advantageous.
- Previous experience coordinating contractors or supervising small teams would be beneficial.
