Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and continuously improve the company's Health & Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.
- Develop, implement and communicate Health & Safety policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work across all sites.
- Conduct inspections, audits and compliance checks, investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Deliver Health & Safety training, inductions and toolbox talks while promoting a positive safety culture and employee engagement.
- Maintain accurate Health & Safety records and coordinate external audits, including ISO 45001 accreditation activities.
- Monitor legislative changes, liaise with external advisors and provide regular Health & Safety reports and updates to senior management.
Criteria:
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Alternatively, currently working towards a recognised professional Health & Safety qualification.
- Proven experience conducting risk assessments, health and safety compliance reviews, and audits.
- Strong understanding of the Health and Safety at Work (NI) Order 1978 and associated health and safety legislation.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience implementing and managing Health & Safety Management Systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to deliver engaging training sessions to individuals and groups.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Strong reporting and record-keeping capabilities.
- Full clean driving licence with willingness to travel between sites as required.
