Cook (Maternity Cover) - Part Time | Garvagh

- Part Time - 20 hours per week (4 hours per day, Monday to Friday)
- Temporary Position until January (Maternity Cover)
A childcare setting in the Garvagh area is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cook to join the team on a maternity cover basis until January 2027.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for approximately 30 children daily, following a structured menu rota that has been developed in consultation with a dietician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve breakfast and a daily hot lunch for children.
- Follow the established menu rotation and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Carry out all washing up and kitchen tidy-up duties.
- Monitor stock levels and report any requirements.
- Adhere to all food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Work independently and efficiently within the allocated hours.
Criteria:
- Previous experience in a cooking or catering role.
- Good understanding of food hygiene practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Friendly, reliable and organised approach.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI Check.
