Agricultural Installation Operative - Permanent | Garvagh (With travel throughout Northern Ireland/)
Role Overview
We are seeking an Agricultural Installation Operative to specialise in the installation of mattress cubicle systems and associated livestock housing equipment. The successful candidate will work on farm sites across Northern Ireland, with occasional travel throughout the UK, ensuring all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Salary & Benefits
- £13.00 per hour
- Overtime paid at 1.4x hourly rate (£18.20 per hour)

Key Responsibilities
- Install mattress cubicle systems and associated livestock housing equipment.
- Carry out fitting, assembly, and installation work using hand and power tools.
- Read and work from drawings, measurements, and installation plans.
- Ensure all work is completed to customer specifications and company standards.
- Travel to sites across Northern Ireland and occasionally throughout the UK.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- Liaise professionally with customers and colleagues on site.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and handling installation materials and equipment.
- Complete installation records and documentation as required.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in construction, agricultural installations, engineering, fabrication, or a similar hands-on role.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong practical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience working within the agricultural sector.
- Experience fitting livestock housing, steel structures, fencing, or agricultural equipment.
- Telehandler, forklift, or other relevant plant operation certificates.
- CSR, CSCS, or equivalent site safety card.
