What You'll Be Doing:
  • Deliver high-quality swimming lessons and coaching sessions.
  • Support swimmers to develop skills, confidence and water safety awareness.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of different age groups and abilities.
  • Assist with special educational needs and inclusive swimming programmes where required.
  • Ensure sessions run safely and effectively.
  • Maintain lesson records and support programme administration.
  • Promote a positive and enjoyable learning experience for all participants.
What You'll Need:
  • A recognised Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification (ASA, STA, Swim Ireland or equivalent).
  • At least one year's swimming teaching experience.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • A passion for helping others learn and develop.
  • Access to transport to travel between leisure centres when required.
  • Flexibility to work a range of lesson times, including evenings and weekends.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced AccessNI check.
Why Apply?
  • Flexible work that can fit around family life, retirement or existing commitments
  • Competitive rate of £20 per teaching session
  • Opportunity to make a positive impact in your local community
  • Work within an established Public Sector leisure service
If this sounds like the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you! Even if you don’t meet every listed requirement, we encourage you to apply – we may have other suitable roles for you.  Apply online, email [email protected] or call Gillian on 028 2563 1555 to find out more.
