About the role:
- £29863 per annum
- Location: Westland House, Belfast
- Holidays: 28 days
- Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Duration: Temporary up to 12 months

What you'll be doing in this role:
- Ensure application of up-to-date IFRS accounting policies when maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and Oracle with up-to-date additions, disposals and depreciation.
- Provide financial advice to Operations Field Managers on the commissioning of capital projects.
- Apply accounting expertise to prepare and review Oracle journals for Capital & General Ledger transactions, using software tools like Excel for accurate and timely updates.
- Manage month-end and year-end accounting processes, including preparing and posting the monthly capitalised salaries & overheads allocations.
- Ensure that the monthly Fixed Asset Note for month end is produced to agreed timetables and reconciles to the Fixed Asset Register and Oracle system for IFRS.
- Prepare and reconcile the monthly capital spend report used to support the Capital Loan Subscription notes for return to DFI.
- Prepare and process all Wastewater Pumping Station adoptions on Oracle and the Fixed Asset Register.
- Provide information to and address queries from external auditors, and implement audit recommendations as appropriate.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to maintain relationships and support Capital & General Ledger objectives, resolving transaction queries.
What you'll need for this role:
- A 3rd level qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or equivalent in a Business/Finance/Accounting related qualification AND at least One years’ experience of working in a Business/Finance/Accounting environment
- OR Have Four years’ of working in a Business/Finance/Accounting environment
- Knowledge and understanding of monthly financial reporting processes
- Working knowledge of MS package including Excel, Word and Access
- Ability to achieve a high level of work accuracy within tight timescales
