About the role:
- £12.71 per hour
- Crossmaglen Day Centre, County Armagh
- 12.5 hrs per week (Mon - Fri 10:30am - 1pm)
- immediate start, temporary until 30th November 2026

What you'll be doing in this role:

Conduct daily, weekly and periodic maintenance of all floor coverings to include:- dust control, sweeping and/or vacuum cleaning, damp mopping, spot mopping, machine buffing/scrubbing and spray cleaning.

Conduct daily, weekly and periodic maintenance of surfaces, to include:- furniture/upholstery, fittings, surrounds and equipment, telephones, mirrors, shelving, high surfaces,paint work, tiles, partition glass, domestic cleaning equipment, machinery etc.

Conduct daily, weekly and periodic maintenance of all sanitary fittings (all toilet and shower areas). Replenish supplies of toilet rolls, soap, paper towels and alcohol gel dispensers.

Receive, store, heat, temperature probe and serve cook chill meals (this will only be in cook-chill facilities) and prepare any special diets as necessary.

Complete all relevant temperature records including fridge, delivery, cooking and reheating records.

Prepare morning and afternoon tea/coffee for service users.

Clean all equipment within the Catering Department including food trolleys, cooking utensils, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery etc and associated areas e.g. stores, cupboards etc.Load and unload the dishwasher.

Assist in preparation of meals and snacks, order meals, carry out waitress and/or cashier duties.
What you'll need for this role:
- Have experience of carrying out a range of domestic, housekeeping and or catering duties in a paid working environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and to participate as a team member.
- Good organisational skills with an ability to prioritise own workload.
- Have a willing and co-operative attitude/manner.
- Ability to use initiative and cope with difficult situations in a calm manner.
- Ability to relate easily to staff and service users with Effective communication skills
- Be willing to undertake and complete relevant training.
- Be flexible with regard to working arrangements.
- Have an awareness of Health and Safety Standards.
