HRC Recycling Attendants - Mid & East Antrim Borough Council - Carrickfergus
Mid & East Antrim Borough Council is hiring Recycling Attendants in Carrickfergus. This role is ideal for someone with experience in waste operations, teamwork, and customer service, supporting essential recycling and waste services for the community.
About the role:
- £13.69 per hour
- 19.5 hours per week
- Duration: 3 months with a possible extension

What you will be doing in this role:
- Provide driving support to Operational Services
- Assist members of the public with waste disposal and recycling
- Support the segregation of recyclable and reusable materials
- Monitor site usage and ensure compliance with site rules
- Open/close Household Recycling Centres when required
- Maintain cleanliness across the site and surrounding areas
- Complete operational paperwork and site procedures
- Assist contractors servicing recycling facilities
What you'll need for this role:
Applicants must be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have one years' relevant experience to include;
- Working in a waste operations environment
- Working within a team environment
- Working within a customer service environment dealing with complaints and queries from the general public
