Laboratory Technician - Coleraine - Permanent

The Role:
- £Negotiable salary
- Annual bonus of 8% on top of salary
- Full time
- Monday - Friday
- Permanent position
Duties:
- Maintain accurate and legible records of all samples submitted into the laboratory
- Administration of Certificate of Analysis and other product related documentation
- Data trending
- Equipment Daily Calibrations
- Ordering of laboratory chemicals and consumables
- Daily/ weekly/ monthly laboratory checks on equipment as required
- Chemical/waste and sample disposal
- General housekeeping in the laboratory including glassware rotation
- Preparation of solutions, buffers and eluents
- Support the Analytical Chemists
- Be flexible to demands of the role.
EHS Responsibilities:

Ensures that the Engineering Department conforms with company quality and EHS policies, procedures and management system requirements and complies with GxP and EHS regulatory requirements.
- Contributes to achievement of EHS performance targets by:
- Participating in EHS Meetings.
- Carrying out periodic EHS inspections.
- Periodically reviewing risk assessments.
- Reporting near misses/ raising good suggestions.
- Managing contractors ensuring they are following EHS guidelines
Criteria:
- Educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent in a Science related subject or have suitable experience.
- Have an interest in laboratory work.
- Attention to detail.
- Understanding of EH&S.
- Ability to work unaided and use initiative.
- Computer literate.
