Electrician - Whiteabbey
Join the public sector in Whiteabbey as an Electrician and take on a hands-on role supporting essential maintenance and repair works within a busy operational team.
About the role:
- £15.88 per hour
- Location: Whiteabbey
- 8 am to 4pm Monday to Friday
- Duration: temporary on going

What you'll be doing in this role:
- Undertake unsupervised electrical and/or electronic maintenance work related to training and/or experience and understand fully the inter-relationship between the various maintenance crafts.
- Show a high level of flexibility including performing a wide range of work of other trade crafts.
- Use relevant tools and equipment to undertake work on the electrical, electronic and mechanical systems in NHSCT controlled buildings.
- Manufacture, assemble, erect and install new electrical work as required.
- Undertake training to perform emergency passenger lift evacuations.
- Undertake training, where necessary to learn new techniques on specific trust equipment and plant e.g. Access Control Systems, Air handling units and chillier plant, hydro therapy pool, Laundry batch washer ,dyers and air transfer and conveyor system Undertake training and the role of Competent Person (Electrical) e.g. IET Wiring
- Regulations BS7671and HTM06-02 Competent Person training
What you'll need for this role:
- Applicants must possess a recognised and registered CITB or BITB apprenticeship or approved company apprenticeship.
- NVQ level 3 in electrical; engineering or equivalent formal qualifications.
- At least 4 years relevant post apprenticeship experience, 2 years of which must have been spent on the maintenance of complex electrical, and/ or electronic engineering
