Plant Operator - Toomebridge - Permanent
The Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and vehicles within the Creagh Concrete facility. This includes operating machinery, assisting in concrete production activities, and safely moving large vehicles, including ready mix concrete lorries, from the production area to the factory and around the yard to support production, loading, and dispatch operations.
About the role:
- £14.00 per hour (performance bonus will apply after training period completed)
- Monday to Friday (12pm – 9pm)
- Permanent role
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Operate plant machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety standards
- Move and manoeuvre large vehicles around the yard, including ready mix concrete lorries, transferring vehicles from the production area to the factory and designated yard locations
- Assist with concrete production and batching operations as required
- Coordinate vehicle movements to ensure safe access to production, factory, and loading areas
- Assist with loading and unloading of precast concrete products and raw materials
- Carry out daily safety and maintenance checks on plant, vehicles, and equipment
What you'll need for this role:
- Previous experience in a plant, construction, quarry, or concrete manufacturing environment desirable
- Experience operating or moving ready mix concrete lorries or similar heavy vehicles
- Strong awareness of yard safety, traffic management, and vehicle movements
- Full training will be provided in house
