Production Supervisor (Manufacturing) - Coleraine
Do you have experience in food production and want to take the next step in your career? A historic and growing household brand, with products stocked across the UK and Ireland, is seeking a Production Supervisor to join their manufacturing team in Coleraine.
This hands-on role will see you lead and support the production team, working alongside the Production and Quality Manager to ensure targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene and food safety.
About the role:
- £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday
- 37 hours a week
- Full-time, Permanent
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Oversee and assist with the daily production of ice cream and sorbet.
- Ensure all products meet company standards and specifications.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety procedures.
- Manage HACCP systems and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain SALSA accreditation and support external audits.
- Support staff scheduling, planning, and training.
- Monitor production costs, yields, and key financial targets.
- Supervise and motivate the production team to meet quality and efficiency goals.
- Assist with production planning to meet customer demand.
What you'll need for this role:
- Degree in a food-related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant food manufacturing experience (preferably supervisory level).
- Intermediate/Advanced Food Hygiene qualification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- IT literate with solid MS Word & Excel skills.
- Good numeracy skills with the ability to calculate and adjust recipes.
- Willingness to learn the science and methods of ice cream production.
