Manufacturing Engineer - L/Derry
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join a global leader in the heavy equipment sector at their Campsie facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment to maximise safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing costs and waste.
About the role:
- £37,000 per annum + performance bonus
- Monday to Friday
- Monday – Thursday 8am–5pm | Friday 8am–2pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering.
- Lead and manage projects, ensuring deadlines and production targets are met.
- Take ownership of assigned product lines, overseeing all related manufacturing activities.
- Implement cost-effective process improvements and resolve build issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (including EN 1009).
- Monitor and report on KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support customer and dealer visits as the manufacturing representative.
- Ensure manufacturing readiness against production schedules.
What you'll need for this role:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Manufacturing or Engineering.
- Strong background in manufacturing engineering within a heavy equipment or similar environment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (CREO preferred) and Product Data Management systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Proven track record of problem-solving and delivering process improvements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
