Manufacturing Engineer - L/Derry

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join a global leader in the heavy equipment sector at their Campsie facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment to maximise safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing costs and waste.

About the role:
  • £37,000 per annum + performance bonus
  • Monday to Friday
  • Monday – Thursday 8am–5pm | Friday 8am–2pm

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering.
  • Lead and manage projects, ensuring deadlines and production targets are met.
  • Take ownership of assigned product lines, overseeing all related manufacturing activities.
  • Implement cost-effective process improvements and resolve build issues.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (including EN 1009).
  • Monitor and report on KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support customer and dealer visits as the manufacturing representative.
  • Ensure manufacturing readiness against production schedules.
What you'll need for this role:
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Manufacturing or Engineering.
  • Strong background in manufacturing engineering within a heavy equipment or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (CREO preferred) and Product Data Management systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven track record of problem-solving and delivering process improvements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
