Accounts Assistant - Ballymena - Permanent

  What you'll be doing in this role:
  • Timesheet Management: Accurately input timesheet data into the company’s software system, ensuring it’s ready for processing by deadlines.
  • Statutory Payments: Calculate and input all statutory payments in compliance with relevant schemes and regulations.
  • Invoice Preparation: Prepare a high volume of weekly invoices using Xero Accounting software.
  • Query Resolution: Take ownership of pay and invoice queries, delivering timely resolutions.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll and invoicing bank statements using Xero.
  • Holiday and Statutory Pay: Calculate and process holiday pay, SSP, SMP, and SPP.
  • Accounts Payable and Credit Control: Take overall responsibility for managing accounts payable and credit control within the department.
Criteria: 
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance role, preferably using Xero or similar accounts software.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively to ensure the smooth running of the department.
  • Attention to Detail: Focused and accurate with a commitment to excellence.
  • Tech-Savvy: Confident using IT and software systems, including bespoke CRM and accounting platforms.
  • Time Management: Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Discretion: Maintains full confidentiality and discretion regarding payroll and invoicing information.
