What you'll be doing in this role:
- Support processes in to the recovery of funds from Private Patients and Non UK Residents receiving treatment from the hospital.
- Support administrative requirements of all activity relating to Private Patient, Overseas Visitors and Non UK Residents visiting the Trust’s hospitals, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed.
- Support the administration process of collecting the European Health Insurance (EHIC) from patients from Europe by liaising with A&E department, outpatient clinics and staff and patients at ward level.
- Assist in maintaining a system for managing private patient insurance forms.
- Assist in the safe custody of monies received as deposits from Private Patients, and the provision of the appropriate documentation for final accounts.
- Assist in the development of constructive and effective relationships with medical, nursing, finance, information, diagnostics, clinical coding and other key staff within the organisation.
- Assist with training to all relevant staff involved in these processes.
- Assist the Manager in reporting fraud cases to Counter Fraud & Probity Services (CF&PS).
What you'll need for this role:
- 3 year’s Admin and Clerical Experience
- Experience of Microsoft packages and PAS
- 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English language or higher educational standard
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
