About the role:
- £12.31 per hour
- 37.5 hours a week
- Location: Altnagelvin Hospital site
- Temporary role (to 30/11/2025)

What you'll be doing in this role:
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Clinical Education Centre’s Nursing, Midwifery and AHP staff in the planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of programmes.
- Ensure accurate programme information is added to the CEC’s management systems (and website) in line with CEC’s guidance and working in conjunction with teaching staff and external tutors/organisations.
- Process programme/course applications in line with CEC guidance and respond appropriately to any applicant queries or additional needs.
- Manage in-bound and out-bound telephone & electronic communications, ensuring sensitive or urgent matters are dealt with appropriately.
- Undertake reception duties including, for example, greeting and providing direction to visitors, programmes participants and external providers etc.
- Ensure room booking details are accurately captured and managed on CEC’s room booking system. Liaise with, and assist, stakeholders to ensure appropriate room set up (including clinical and digital equipment) and assist with any technical
issues that may arise.
- Set up all aspects of online education sessions and meetings ensuring basic technical issues can be resolved as required.
- Efficiently organise and manage electronic diaries.
- Input and retrieve data from manual and electronic systems in line with relevant policies, procedures and associated information governance requirements
What you'll need for this role:
- Five GCSEs Grade A-C or equivalent, including GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths (or equivalent qualifications)
- 18 months experience in a clerical/secretarial/administrative position
- One year’s experience working with Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Experience in taking minutes at meetings
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criterion will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by The Organisation which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
