About the role:
  • £15.33 per hour
  • 37.5 hours a week
  • Location: NIAS HQ, Belfast
  • Temporary role (Approx 6 months)

What you'll be doing in this role:
  • To assist in the delivery of health-related messages with NIAS Staff.
  • To assist in the development and delivery of health improvement initiatives with NIAS staff.
  • To assist in the monitoring and evaluation of health improvement initiatives.
  • To develop, implement and update the information within the NIAS Wellbeing page on SharePoint.
  • To lead on the effective marketing and promotion of the NIAS staff wellbeing service ensuring maximum awareness, visibility, accessibility, and participation
  • Engage with local health promotion services such as Public Health Agency, Ambulance Sector support and Blue Light organisations to create an annual health promotion programme including Ambulance Sector health awareness days
  • To produce reports on the outcomes of initiatives including evaluations and campaign reports using appropriate IT packages.
  • To undertake relevant research to broaden the knowledge base of workplace health improvement and seek new evidence of what works to support people in workplace health.
What you'll need for this role:
  • Experience of developing, promoting and implementing health promotion events, campaigns and initiatives
  • University Degree or a professional qualification in public health, health improvement or community development
  •  AND 1 years’ professional experience at a Band 4 or above in public health, health education, health improvement or community development.
  • OR 5 years professional experience at a Band 4 or above in public health, education, health improvement or community development
  • Hold a current full driving licence including C1 which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. These criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by The Organisation which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post
  • Ability to plan and carry out needs assessment, monitoring and evaluation relating to health and wellbeing programmes/initiatives including collation of data and writing up reports
  • As part of the Recruitment & Selection process it may be necessary for The Organisation to carry out an Enhanced Disclosure Check through Access NI before any appointment to this post can be confirmed. Successful applicants may be required to attend for a Health Assessment
