Programme Manager - Mid and East Antrim Borough Council
You will be responsible for collaborating with our delivery teams and stakeholders to support delivery of the Council’s corporate functions and processes and support adherence to our policy and legislative duties. Your role will include responsibility for ensuring organisation wide delivery of programmes across a range of functions as appropriate
About the role:
- £25.79 per hour
- Location: TBC
- Monday to Friday
- Hours of Work: 37 hours per week

Duties will include:
- To be responsible to the Assistant Director of Citizen Focus for the effective leadership, organisation, and practitioner delivery of programmes and their objectives.
- To establish a Programme Management Office, developing best practice and ensuring standards are met and maintained for project and programme delivery.
- To achieve the key programme objectives, consistent within the overall corporate context, ensuring the allocated budget is managed efficiently and effectively in accordance with council policies, financial regulations, and ensuring propriety and regularity are applied.
- To formulate and maintain effective programme and project management arrangements to secure the effective delivery of the programme as agreed.
- To develop, manage, monitor, and review appropriate programme and project performance management frameworks and risk registers.
- To be responsible for the monitoring and reporting of programmes.
- To be responsible for the effective management of all appropriate programme and project governance arrangements including all relevant systems and processes.
What you'll need for this role:
- Applicants must have a degree in any discipline.
- Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, two years' experience (four years' if qualification is not met) of providing advice and guidance to senior management, contributing to effective outcomes.
- Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, two years' experience (four years' if qualification is not met) of effective leadership, management and delivery of strategic projects and/or programmes.
- Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, two years' experience (four years' if qualification is not met) of managing and monitoring programme or project budgets, while ensuring high standards of financial administration and probity.
- A full current driving licence valid in the UK and access to a vehicle OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post
