Catering Technician - Ballymena - Term Time
Riada Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of Northern Regional College for a Band 2 Catering Technician based at the Ballymena Campus.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual with catering, food service, hospitality or customer service experience to join a busy and rewarding educational environment.

- Up to 36 hours per week

What you will be doing in this role:
Working as part of the Catering Department, you will support the day-to-day operation of the College canteen, training restaurant and training kitchens, assisting both staff and students while helping to deliver a professional catering service across the campus. Duties include:
- Assist with food preparation and service.
- Support the daily operation of the canteen, training restaurant and kitchens.
- Serve food and beverages to staff, students and visitors.
- Operate tills and handle cash and electronic payments.
- Assist with stock control, stock rotation and storage of supplies.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety.
- Support lecturers and students within practical catering environments.
- Assist with set up and clear down of catering areas and special events.
- Carry out cleaning duties and ensure work areas are maintained to a professional standard.
What you will need for this role:
- Experience working in a catering, hospitality, food service or customer-facing environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience handling cash and operating tills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of hygiene, food safety and health & safety procedures.
- Flexible and proactive approach to work.
