Driver (With Sampling Duties) - Northern Ireland Water | Belfast
About the role:
- £12.56 per hour (under 21s), £12.71ph (over 21s)
- 37 hours a week, Monday - Friday
- Westland House, Belfast
- Parking facilities on site
- Temporary role for 3 months (until December 2026)

What you'll be doing in this role:
- Collecting of all types of samples from industrial premises
throughout Northern Ireland and the delivery of samples to either specified collection
points and/or the analytical laboratory.
- Support compliance investigations, cost recovery, and environmental protection through additional
sampling, recording of observations and sample point anomalies.
What you'll need for this role:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade C or above, to include English and Maths, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in dealing with customers face-to-face in a positive manner.
- Demonstrable experience in managing own workload, with the ability to plan and prioritise.
- A full current driving license enabling the post holder to drive in Northern Ireland as they will be required to
drive a Northern Ireland Water vehicle.
- Medically fit to undertake manual handling duties associated with role e.g. lifting of sampling apparatus and
manhole covers in excess of 12kg.
- Successful candidates will be required to attend a pre-employment medical appointment.
- As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position
