Executive Assistant - Full Time | Belfast
Join the Northern Ireland Medical & Dental Training Agency as an Executive Assistant and play a key part in providing effective, proactive and comprehensive executive administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Education/Postgraduate Medical Dean.
About the role:
- £14.06 per hour
- Beechill House, Beechill Road, Belfast
- 37.5 hours per week, 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday & 8.30am – 4.30pm on Friday
- Immediate start for a period of up to 3 months

What you'll be doing in this role:
- To act as the first point of contact for the CEO and DoE/PGMD in
dealings with the Department, SPPG, Public Health Agency and HSC
Trusts and other statutory organisations, particularly in relation to the
receipt of policy updates, practice notes and consultation requests.
- To handle complex, confidential and sensitive information in relation to
the work of the wider Senior Management Team, and to use initiative
to determine importance of work and level of urgency.
- To assist the CEO and DoE/PGMD in the early management of
issues that may arise from time to time.
- To assist the CEO and DoE/PGMD with administrative duties
associated with their roles and drafting requested work for their review
as appropriate.
- To contribute to the development, implementation and delivery of
chief executive office strategy and services, through research,
report writing and administrative support, ensuring integration with
wider corporate and strategic objectives.
- To contribute to the development, implementation and delivery
of DoE/PGMD office strategy and services, through research,
report writing and administrative support, ensuring integration
with wider corporate and strategic objectives.
What you'll need for this role:
- GCSE Maths and GCSE English (A-C) or equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and
numeracy or higher qualification. AND,
- 2 A Levels OR equivalent OR higher qualification. AND,
- 18 months’ relevant experience working in an office environment carrying out administrative duties. OR,
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience working in an office environment carrying out administrative duties.
- Experience in use of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for
use in the UK and have access to a car on
appointment.
- This criterion will be waived in the case
of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who
have access to a form of transport approved by The
Organisation which will permit them to carry out the
duties of the post.
