Van Driver / Porter - Public Sector | Antrim
Riada are recruiting a Van Driver / Porter to join a busy healthcare setting based at Holywell Hospital, Antrim. This is an excellent opportunity to support frontline health and care services by ensuring the safe and timely transportation of essential medical supplies, equipment, and goods across hospitals and community facilities.
Working within the Trust, you'll play a vital role in keeping services running smoothly behind the scenes, helping healthcare professionals deliver the highest standards of care to patients.
About the Role:
- £12.75 per hour
- Based at Holywell Hospital, Antrim
- 37.5 hours per week
- Initial 1-month assignment
- Immediate start available

As part of the Trust's logistics and support services team, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of essential items across healthcare locations, including:
- Transporting pharmacy supplies, sterile medical equipment, mail, and other essential healthcare materials between hospitals and community facilities
- Completing timely collections and deliveries across Trust sites
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Moving equipment, furniture, and supplies within healthcare premises
- Providing porter support to ensure the smooth operation of hospital services
- Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and basic routine maintenance checks
- Maintaining accurate delivery and vehicle records
- Operating tail lifts and other equipment following training
- Providing cover for passenger-carrying vehicles where appropriately licensed
- Delivering a professional, customer-focused service at all times
What You'll Need:
- A full UK Category B driving licence (free from R restrictions)
- Access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience
- The ability to carry out manual handling duties safely
- Strong organisational skills and a reliable approach to work
- A commitment to providing a high-quality service within a healthcare environment
- Successful completion of the Trust Driving Test
- As part of the recruitment and vetting process, you will be required to complete an AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from being considered for this role.
