Community Development Co-ordinator - Strabane
Join Derry City and Strabane District Council as a Community Development Co-ordinator and play a key role in the implementation of Strabane’s Neighbourhood Renewal Action Plan.
About the role:
- £21.13 per hour
- Strabane
- Full time, 37.5 hours per week
- Temporary for 1 month
- Immediate start

What you'll be doing in the role:
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme.
- Support the implementation of local Community Plans and priorities.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with community, statutory and private-sector stakeholders.
- Manage programme budgets, claims and financial reporting requirements.
- Identify and promote funding opportunities for community and voluntary groups.
- Support and advise local organisations on funding applications, grant aid programmes and project development.
What you'll need for the role:
- Applicants must possess a degree qualification in a relevant discipline such as:
- Community Development.
- Social Sciences.
- Business.
- Or a related subject area.
AND
- A minimum of two years' demonstrable experience in all of the following:
- Working within a Community Development environment.
- Budget management and procurement.
- Working with a range of stakeholders and partner organisations.
- Identifying funding opportunities.
- Grant aid and tender processes.
- Applicants should demonstrate knowledge and experience of:
- Community Development strategies, policies and best practice.
- Community Planning legislation and implementation.
- Partnership and stakeholder engagement.
- Capacity building within the community and voluntary sector.
- Project and programme management.
- Governance and performance monitoring.
- A full current driving licence and access to transport suitable for carrying out the duties of the role.
