As an Area Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for managing and developing customer relationships across your territory while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with existing manufacturing, engineering and construction Clients.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the territory.
- Visit customers regularly to understand needs and recommend solutions.
- Achieve sales, margin, and KPI targets.
- Follow up on quotations, enquiries, and sales leads.
- Promote the company's range of tools, equipment, and industrial products.
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical advice when required.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and CRM records.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service.
- Support product launches, trade events, and promotional activities.
- Provide outstanding after-sales support and issue resolution.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Criteria:
- Previous experience in a field sales, business development, or account management role within the power tools/ engineering sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
