About the role: 
  • £12.71 per hour
  • Craigavon Area Hospital
  • 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
  • 2 positions available
  • Temporary until 6th October 2026

What you'll be doing in this role:
  • Undertake a range of admin support duties including work processing, creating excel spreadsheets, records management, filing patients’ records, scanning, photocopying and arranging files based on categories and schedule of disposals provision of admin support to management and the team.

  • Co-ordinate and process a range of correspondence in accordance with agreed procedures within area of responsibility.

  • Deal with incoming/outgoing mail and ensure that mail is distributed and re-directed appropriately to relevant staff and in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that all systems used both manual and computerised are maintained in an accurate and timely way and in accordance with local policy and procedure.

  • Assist in the production/collation of statistics as required.

  • Participate in quality assurance exercises if required.

What you'll need for this role:
  • 4 GCSEs including English (grades A-C / 9-4) or equivalent and experience in admin. OR,
  • 2 years’ admin experience in a paid capacity and GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English Language or equivalent.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Good organisational skills with an ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Effective communications skills to meet the needs of the post in full.
  • The flexibility to work in a changing environment.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
  • As the nature of this post is likely to involve working with or being in close contact with children and/or vulnerable adults any offer of appointment will be subject to an Enhanced AccessNI Disclosure.
