Sous Chef – Coleraine - Permanent
Join a long-established and highly regarded local hotel, known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality dining and beautiful surroundings. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef to become part of a professional kitchen team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
The Role:

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards across all food service areas within the hotel. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with strong leadership skills, excellent organisation, and a genuine passion for hospitality and quality food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily kitchen operations
- Prepare and present food to a high standard
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Supervise and support kitchen staff
- Lead shifts in the Head Chef’s absence
- Maintain food hygiene and safety standards
- Assist with stock control and ordering
- Minimise waste and support cost control
- Support weddings, banqueting, and events
- Ensure efficient service during busy periods
About You:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef de Partie
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation
- Experience within hotel, restaurant, or banqueting environments
- Confident leading and motivating a team
- Sound understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards
