Health and Safety Advisor - Belfast - NI Water
Join Northern Ireland Water in Belfast as a Health and Safety Advisor and support the development and promotion of a strong health and safety culture across the organisation. In this role you will play a key role in providing guidance, ensuring compliance and supporting safe working practices.
About the role:
- £18.13 per hour
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours a week
- Westland House, Belfast
- Temporary for 3 months

What you'll be doing in this role:
- Support the development and implementation of health & safety best practice arrangements across Northern Ireland Water, ensuring it complies with all current health & safety legislation including Acts, Regulations, related Approved Codes of Practice, and other statutory compliance guidance and standards.
- Be responsible for providing clear, strategic leadership for the continual development of a safe environment for colleagues, contractors, visitors and the public.
- Promote and enable a best practice culture with respect to health & safety
- Work with function managers to establish and maintain a program of continual improvement in the management of health & safety within their areas of responsibility.
What you'll need for this role:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a health and safety role including inspection and auditing experience across a range of disciplines and work activities.
- A full, current driving licence or access to a reliable means of transport to travel across Northern Ireland to fulfil the duties of the post.
- As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
