Minibus Driver - Coleraine/Ballymoney/Ballymena area - Part time
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a reliable and flexible Part‑Time Minibus Driver to support student transport during term time. This role is ideal for someone seeking regular, part‑time hours with split shifts during the school/college day.
About this role:
- £13.62 per hour
- Tuesday & Wednesday
- Approximately 1.5 hours in the morning and 1.5 hours in the afternoon
- Contract: Term‑time only until June 2027
- Location / Route: Transporting students from the local area to Ballymena Campus, with the furthest pick‑up/drop‑off point being Cullybackey
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Safely transport students to and from campus using a minibus
- Follow designated routes and scheduled pick‑up/drop‑off times
- Ensure the safety, comfort and wellbeing of passengers at all times
- Carry out basic vehicle checks before and after journeys
- Maintain a professional and friendly manner when dealing with students and staff
What you'll need for this role:
- Full UK driving licence with valid D1 entitlement
- Applicants who passed their driving test before 1 January 1997 may hold D1 (79 – NFHR), which does not permit driving for hire or reward
- To drive a minibus in this role, candidates must hold a valid D1 licence without the 79 (NFHR) restriction, or be willing to obtain this by completing the required medical, theory and practical tests
- Previous minibus driving experience desirable
- Punctual, reliable and responsible
- Comfortable working split shifts
- Good communication and customer care skills
