Support Accountant - Ballymena
Join the public sector in Ballymena as a Support Accountant and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting effective financial management.
About the role:
- £24.45 per hour
- 37.5 hours per week
- Location: Greenmount House, Ballymena
- Approximatley 8 months
- Immediate start

What you'll be doing in this role:
- Undertake the production and analysis of the financial aspects of business cases providing expert financial information and advice accordingly.
- Represent the Finance directorate on capital development projects assisting with the financial planning through business cases using appropriate accounting techniques and in accordance with NIGEAE (N. Ireland Guide to Expenditure Appraisal and Evaluation).
- Support local and regional groups and projects through providing financial analysis and financial performance information.
- Provide support to the Head Accountant in ensuring that financial planning in the Trust is continuously developed, robust, timely and accurate.
- Provide support to the Head Accountant in preparing Efficiency, Contingency and Recovery Plans when required, for Trust Board, HSCB and DoH approvals.
- Carry out a supporting role in the benchmarking processes and exercises adopted by the department and the Trust.
What you'll need for this role:
- Full membership of one of the five professional accounting institutes within the CCAB, or CIMA. AND,
- Minimum of 2 years relevant finance experience at supervisory level.
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
- This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
