Accounting Technician - L/Derry
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounting Technician to join a busy and supportive finance environment in the L/Derry area. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work across payroll, bookkeeping, and accounts preparation, supporting a varied client base while developing your skills within a well-structured finance team.
About the role:
- £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday

What you'll be doing in this role:
- Processing of client payrolls using Brightpay software for all payroll frequencies, including calculation of statutory payments, holiday pay etc.
- All work in connection with pension auto enrolment
- Basic accounting tasks including bank reconciliations, summarising and analysing financial information using excel and inputting onto accounting software
- Preparation of accounts to Trial Balance stage or further
- Completion of VAT Returns etc
- Maintenance of client book-keeping records using either Sage Line 50 or Microsoft
excel
What you'll need for this role:
- Previous experience in payroll processing within a finance or accounts environment is required.
