Crane Operator – Toomebridge – Permanent
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Crane Operator to join a well-established manufacturing facility in the Toome area. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of crane equipment to support production, loading, and movement of materials across the site. Working as part of an experienced team, you will play a key role in maintaining safe working practices while ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently.
About the role:
- £14.00 per hour (performance bonus will apply after training period completed)
- Monday to Friday (12pm – 9pm)
- Permanent role
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Operate plant machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety standards
- Move and manoeuvre large vehicles around the yard, including ready mix concrete lorries, transferring vehicles from the production area to the factory and designated yard locations
- Assist with concrete production and batching operations as required
- Coordinate vehicle movements to ensure safe access to production, factory, and loading areas
- Assist with loading and unloading of precast concrete products and raw materials
- Carry out daily safety and maintenance checks on plant, vehicles, and equipment
What you'll need for this role:
- Previous experience in a plant, construction, quarry, or concrete manufacturing environment desirable
- Experience operating or moving ready mix concrete lorries or similar heavy vehicles
- Strong awareness of yard safety, traffic management, and vehicle movements
- Full training will be provided in house
