Digital Discovery Manager - Belfast

About the role:
  • £27.49 per hour 
  • Monday to Friday
  • 37.5 hours a week
  • Temporary until 31st March 2026

What you'll be doing in this role:
  • Engage with relevant HSC stakeholders to identify, explore and scope requirements for new digital projects and programmes
  • Lead structured discovery activities to develop a shared understanding of project and programme needs
  • Define and document project objectives, deliverables, dependencies, risks and expected benefits
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discussions to gather and validate requirements
  • Produce comprehensive discovery documents that clearly articulate the proposed scope and rationale for each project or programme
  • Present discovery outputs through the Digital P3O governance process to seek approval to initiate projects or programmes
  • Manage the end-to-end discovery engagement process for allocated projects and programmes
  • Ensure discovery documentation meets governance, quality and approval standards
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout the discovery phase to support informed decision-making
What you'll need for this role:
  • A university degree or relevant post graduate / professional qualification and have worked for at least 3 years in a broad range of ICT / digital roles in a major complex organisation with at least 2 years experience in the last 5 in ICT / digital team
    Or At least 6 years of experience in a broad range of ICT / digital roles in a major complex organisation with at least 3 years in the last 5 years in ICT / digital team.
  • Experience of business requirements analysis and developing strategic ICT / digital proposals including the preparation of business cases.
  • Experience of successfully utilising high level influencing, governance, leadership and organisational skills, particularly in an environment where there are significant barriers to acceptance and change
  •  Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
