Accountant - Causeway Hotel (Bushmills)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join the team at the historic Causeway Hotel, located beside the world-famous Giant’s Causeway. This hands-on role offers the chance to take ownership of the hotel’s financial management and reporting, supporting the continued success of this iconic landmark destination.
About the role:
- Up to £40,000 per annum (DOE)
- 30 hours a week (with possibility of extending to full time hours)
- 5 days a week
- Permanent role
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain annual budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain strong control over financial processes, cash flow, and cost management.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Perform detailed financial analysis to support informed business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial regulations.
- Provide financial insights and reports to operational teams to drive performance.
- Liaise regularly with the Finance and Operations Director on key financial matters.
What you'll need for this role:
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Experience in the hotel or wider hospitality industry is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of finance processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and strong IT literacy.
