Cook/Chef - Causeway Hospital (Coleraine)
Join the catering team at Causeway Hospital as a Cook / Chef and use your skills to help deliver nutritious, high-quality meals to patients and staff every day.
About the role:
- £12.31 per hour
- 30 hours a week
- Shifts: 7am to 1.30pm or 10am to 5am
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Prepare, cook and present meals in accordance with set menus, dietary requirements and portion controls.
- Ensure all food is prepared and stored safely, following hygiene and HACCP standards.
- Assist with menu planning and the ordering of ingredients to maintain stock levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas, including equipment and work surfaces.
- Work collaboratively with catering assistants and other staff to ensure timely meal service across the hospital.
What you'll need for this role:
- NVQ level 2 food preparation or equivalent
- Mandatory Training requirements: Food Safety level 2, COSHH, Fire, Manual handling, Food allergens and Knowledge of Dysphagia diet (desirable)
- As part of the Recruitment & Selection process it may be necessary for the Organisation to carry out an Enhanced Disclosure Check through Access NI before any appointment to this post can be confirmed.
