Finance Team Leader (Systems) - Ballymena
An excellent opportunity for a Finance Team Leader (Systems) to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation and administration of financial systems. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of system controls through strong governance, provide support to end users, and liaise with internal and external service providers to maintain system functionality and performance.
About the role:
- £13.57 per hour
- Location: Greenmount House, Ballymena
- Monday - Friday (9:00am - 5:00pm)
- 37.5 hours a week
- Duration: approximately 3 months

What you'll be doing in this role:
- To assist in maintaining and monitoring the Trust’s authorisation framework and ensure this is embedded within the FPL systems and correctly applied by all relevant Shared Service Centres;
- Assist with the creation, maintenance and amendment of User Roles within the FPL systems;
- Notifying users of changes to their authority within the FPL systems;
- To assist in the provision of specialist helpdesk facilities, including travel, providing guidance and support to end users to ensure effective operation of the Trust’s financial systems;
- Monitoring the Support Email accounts ensuring that all queries are dealt with promptly, efficiently and effectively;
- Assist with identification and resolution of any issues experienced by system users, including liaison with IT providers, as necessary;
- Provide on the job support to end users on the Trust’s financial systems via Proxy Software;
- Maintain communication with relevant Departments and Accounts Payable Shared Service Centre to facilitate the routing of invoices for approval;;
What you'll need for this role:
- Demonstrate 3 years experience working in an office in a 1) financial environment, eg, making payments, receipting cash, working with budgetary reports, assisting in the preparation of accounts, etc and/or 2) analytical environment, eg, system management, use of information systems, maintaining data quality, collecting/analysing/presenting data, data manipulation using data tools, collating/presenting/reporting statistical data, etc.
- OR Certificate for Accounting Technicians (ATI) or equivalent (QCF Level 4) with 2 years relevant* finance experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to analyse financial/statistical information and communicate subsequent evaluation.
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment (This will be waived for applicants who have a disability which prohibits driving but who have access to a from of transport provided by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post
