Product Engineer - L/Derry - Permanent

About the role: 
  • £Competitive salary + Company Benefits
  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm | Friday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

As a Product Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining product specifications that align with customer requirements and cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities.
 
What you'll be doing in this role: 
  • Safety First: Act as a safety leader, adhering to all Environmental, Health & Safety policies.
  • Product Development: Review new product requests, leveraging machine capabilities to determine efficient manufacturing routes.
  • Customer Collaboration: Interpret and control customer specifications
  • Tooling Design: Design, purchase, and issue job-specific tooling for production
  • Specification Management: Maintain accurate customer-facing and internal product specifications in SAP, ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Change Control: Manage internal and external change requests to meet customer requirements, no-change agreements, and company standards
  • New Business Development: Collaborate on new business projects, supporting the company’s sales objectives
  • Problem Solving: Use analytical skills to resolve product engineering and manufacturing issues, contributing to continuous improvement
  • Data Integrity: Ensure all product data is accurate and complete, supporting key manufacturing and cost-planning processes
  • Customer Engagement: Participate in customer audits when necessary, ensuring product designs meet customer expectations
Criteria:
  • Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • 2-4 years of experience in product design or development.
