Generator / Electrical Engineer - Cookstown - Permanent
We are excited to represent a well-established equipment rental company based in Cookstown, currently seeking a skilled Generator/Electrical Engineer to join their team. With over 30 years of industry expertise, this company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality equipment and exceptional service to clients across the UK and Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation in a pivotal technical role.
About the role:
- Circa £45,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday ( 7:30 am – 5:00 pm with 4:00pm finish on Friday), Saturdays (on a rotational basis): 7:45 am – 12:30 pm
- Permanent role
This role offers a hands-on position with a variety of responsibilities, opportunities for technical development, and the chance to work on diverse projects daily.
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on generators and electrical equipment.
- Install and test generator sets for various applications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, ensuring timely repairs.
- Provide technical support and excellent customer service.
- Conduct on-site servicing and repairs across Ireland, including event setup.
- Accurately complete job and service records in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety procedures.
What requirements are needed for this role:
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail, particularly in electrical fault diagnosis.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Relevant electrical/electronic qualification and extensive electrical knowledge.
- Mechanical skills, with experience in hydraulics and mechanics (Level 3 mechanical qualification is advantageous).
- Previous experience as an industrial electrician or working with generators.
- Experience in control panel building.
- A full, valid driving licence.
