Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council - Customer Service Administrator (Parks / Leisure)

The Role:
- Hourly Rate: £14.84 ph
- Location: Antrim Civic Centre
- Hours of Work: 37 hours, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
- Holidays: 35 days pro rata
- Duration: Up to 3 months, possibility of extension.

Duties:
- Handle new membership enquiries and assist with account setup & bookings.
- Manage BACS collections and act as the first point of contact for payment and direct debit queries.
- Process membership amendments and cancellations.
- Support member retention through follow-up calls, recovery efforts, cancellation feedback, and exit surveys.
- Promote leisure memberships externally by organizing and attending outreach events.
- Ensure efficient use of parks and leisure management software for memberships, bookings, and facility operations, including Legend BRS (Golf), CoursePro, Colony, ANPR System, Technogym, ANBorough App, Camp Manager.
Criteria:
Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs (A-C) including English & Maths or equivalent. Candidates without these may be considered with 2 years’ relevant experience.
Experience
- 1 year in a customer-focused role, dealing with internal/external customers.
- 1 year of administrative experience, including accurate record-keeping and filing.
Skills
- Proficient in Windows & Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Strong communication, resilience, and fairness in interactions.
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and take initiative to achieve results.
- Committed to customer service excellence and continuous improvement.
- Full driving licence or access to suitable transport.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed (overtime compensated per Council policy).
