Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Championing Health & Safety
- Supporting the Shift Performance Manager in deploying Lean Manufacturing (WCOM) best practices
- Diagnosing production issues, taking corrective action, and ensuring smooth operations
- Keeping your team informed about Gainshare metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Overseeing quality control inspections, resolving minor issues, and escalating larger concerns
- Coaching, mentoring, and managing team performance through training, development programmes and regular performance appraisals
- Leading team communications, performance presentations, and visual management initiatives
- Utilising SAP for problem-solving, scheduling adjustments, and liaising with planning teams for efficiency
What you need:
- 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a regulated manufacturing environment
- A strong background in electrical engineering
- A track record of initiative-taking, improving performance, and enhancing health & safety compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts based on business needs
