Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: £14.91per hour
- Location: Belfast
- Hours of Work: 37 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
- Holidays: 35 days pro rata
- Duration: Temporary, ongoing

Duties include:
- To support the Employee Benefits Manager and the Payroll Manager with the provision of a competent, effective and timely payroll function to the business in line with NIHE Standing Orders, Policies and statutory legislation and employment law.
- To have robust knowledge of HMRC PAYE and Payroll processes, guidance and regulations.
- To be responsible for the delivery of a high level of professional customer service when dealing with personal data.
- To provide advice and guidance to Employees / HR / Line Managers / Senior Managers on matters concerning employees pay to ensure payments are made in accordance with HR Policies, Standing Orders and any other statutory and employment legislation which may apply.
- To develop a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the Payroll Cycle enabling the post holder to seamlessly deputise for the Payroll Manager as required.
- To manage the day to day activities of the Payroll Team assisting with the planning, management and organisation of the day to day operation, rotating duties as required.
- To participate in the training and development of Payroll staff and encouraging professional development.
- To ensure that all overpayments are identified and recovery action taken in a timely manner.

- Can demonstrate a minimum of three years’ working within a Payroll environment.
AND,
- Can Demonstrate experience of:
- Processing of payroll using payroll software.
- Providing advice on payroll issues and up to date legislation.
- Can demonstrate:
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure of multiple deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Strong teamworking ethos.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience of using MS applications including MS Excel, MS Word and MS Office.
- Robust understanding of payroll legislative requirements.
- As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
