Manufacturing Operative (Syrup Room) – Full Time | Ballymena
Are you looking for a full-time role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Riada are recruiting for a Syrup Room Operator to join a leading manufacturing company based in Ballymena.

The Role:
- £12.75 per hour day shift
- £14.66 per hour night shift
- Rates reviewed following successful completion of the 3-month trial period
- Full-time, permanent position
- 4-week rotating day and night shift pattern
Duties:
- Blend ingredients to produce bulk syrup batches in line with manufacturing instructions
- Follow recipes and production instructions accurately to ensure consistent product quality
- Carry out syrup testing, quality checks and approvals
- Complete manual handling duties, including lifting bags weighing up to 25kg and moving materials
- Return raw materials to storage while maintaining full traceability
- Maintain accurate batch production, monitoring and usage records
- Minimise product waste and maintain high standards of housekeeping
- Follow all health & safety, hygiene and PPE requirements
- Identify and report production or quality issues promptly
- Work closely with the Syrup Room Lead and wider production team to ensure production schedules are achieved
Criteria:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or operational environment
- Physically fit and able to safely lift 25kg bags
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic maths skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proactive, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexible to work a rotating day and night shift pattern
