Quantity Surveyor - Toomebridge - Permanent
Join a leading modular construction company in Toomebridge as a Quantity Surveyor and take ownership of the commercial delivery of projects across the UK & Ireland. A great opportunity to drive value across innovative off-site construction projects.
You’ll be hands-on with cost control, valuations, forecasting, and financial reporting—ensuring projects are delivered on budget and aligned to commercial targets within a fast-growing, forward-thinking contractor with 20+ years’ industry expertise.
About this role:
- Up to £50,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday (8am - 5pm with 3pm Friday finish)
- 29 days annual leave
- Permanent role
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Manage the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring effective cost control and financial reporting.
- Carry out clear and accurate measurement, valuations, variations, and preparation, submission, and agreement of interim and final accounts.
- Produce Bills of Quantities (BOQs), monitor cash collection, and oversee Sub‑Contractor accounts.
- Ensure project budgets are maintained and participate in regular finance meetings.
- Support the implementation of the business plan and contribute to the development of new business opportunities.
- Provide regular and accurate commercial reports to the Finance Manager and Managing Director.
What you'll need for this role:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in project delivery.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, techniques, and associated costs.
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying or membership of a relevant professional body.
- Clear understanding of contractual obligations, breaches, and remedies.
- Competent knowledge of a range of procurement options used within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with current legal and regulatory developments relating to construction and associated law.
- Experience using construction estimating software (e.g., Conquest).
